Our commitment

We take complaints seriously. If something has gone wrong, we want to hear about it and put it right.

How to make a complaint

Contact us by phone on 1800 878 898, by email at info@tycapital.com.au, or in writing to Suite 1202, 52 Alfred St, Milsons Point NSW 2061. Please include your name, contact details, the nature of your concern and any relevant documents.

So that we can deal with your complaint quickly, please tell us:

  • your name and contact details;
  • the fund, service or person your complaint relates to;
  • what has happened and why you are dissatisfied;
  • what you would like us to do to resolve it; and
  • any documents that support your complaint.

You do not need to use a particular form or particular words, and there is no cost to you. If you would prefer someone else to deal with us on your behalf, such as a lawyer, adviser, family member or other representative, tell us who they are and we will deal with them once we have your written authority.

What happens next

We acknowledge. We expect within one business day of receiving your complaint, or as soon as practicable, we will acknowledge it and tell you who is handling it and how to reach them.

We investigate. Wherever possible, your complaint will be handled by someone who was not involved in the matter you are complaining about. We may come back to you for further information, and we will keep you updated at least every 10 business days while your complaint remains open.

We respond. We will give you a written response within 30 calendar days of receiving your complaint. If we cannot, we will write to you before that period ends to explain why and tell you when you can expect our decision.

Our written response

Our response will tell you the outcome of your complaint. Where we have not resolved it in the way you asked, we will explain our decision with the issues we considered, the facts we found and the reasons we reached the conclusion we did, so that you can decide what you want to do next.
